HomeTown Christmas Celebration
Friday & Saturday, December 2nd & 3rd
Come Home to Bay City for the Christmas Holidays!
We are excited to announce that this year’s event kicks off Friday, December 2nd at 7 p.m. with Bay City’s HomeTown Lighted Christmas Parade on 7th Street from Moore Avenue to Highway 60 and ends at the Police Station on 6th Street. The parade is co-sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Last year we had over 65 parade entries! Trophies will be awarded to the best scoring groups in their category.
Saturday’s event is from 1 – 5 p.m. at the USO Building (2105 Avenue M) featuring an ice-skating rink along with photos with Santa AND the Grinch! New for this year is a giant Gingerbread House slide for outdoor fun! Our plans also include informational booths, crafts, games, and food trucks. The event ends that evening with a Christmas Light Hayride starting at 6 p.m.
Show your Christmas Spirit and light up Bay City for the Claus Applause Decorating Contest for homes and businesses. We are encouraging local Bay City businesses and residents to decorate for the Christmas! You can choose to be judge or be on a list for Bay Citians to come by and enjoy the lights and Christmas Spirit! Festive banners will be given to the top places decided by the judges to add to winning displays.
We hope that you will join the Bay City Parks and Recreation and be a part of the Annual HomeTown Christmas Celebration. Mark your calendars, tell all your friends about HomeTown Bay City for Christmas Fun!
To participate in the parade on Friday night contact the Parks and Recreation office at 1209 10th Street, 979-323-1660 or via e-mail at parks-rec@cityofbaycity.org. To be a food vendor on Friday night or a vendor on Saturday you can register on-line at https://www.cityofbaycity.org/221/Events.
