Sports
Legendary. Renown. Famous, really. In Texas, our love of sports has made national headlines, produced multiple movies, and even a television series. In Bay City we make sure there is a way for everyone to participate in sports from the spectator to the athlete.

Golfers can enjoy two golf courses in the area. The 18-hole Rio Colorado Golf Course features 6,835 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. It was designed by Gary Player and opened in 1993. It is a public course. If you enjoy golfing, it is a must play course.
There is also a 9-hole Bay City Country Club that features 3,215 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. In 2003 it was named one of the top 25 9-hole courses in Texas.
We have many parks with sports fields and courts as well as public swimming pools, so we can gather our friends or family and get out and play.
- The Bay City Softball Complex not only has three lighted fields for softball, but six basketball hoops, a playground and jogging trails.
The community has several youth sport programs to offer. You can find youth baseball and softball leagues with Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball. There are also youth football programs which compete with surrounding neighborhoods and communities.
Individual Sports
For individual sports, Bay City's AquaCats summer swim team is considered one of the top programs in the region.
