Accident reports are kept on file by the Bay City Police Department for two years. They are generally available to the public after 1 pm the next business day after the report is made, and you may access them online.
We are often asked to check residences when the occupants are out of town on business or vacation. We maintain a list of such residences, and they are checked as often as possible.
Citizens sometimes need to be fingerprinted for non-criminal purposes, such as obtaining a passport or concealed carry firearms permits. The Identification Division of our department will fingerprint a citizen of Matagorda County for a small fee.
