Citizens wishing to apply for a variance from regular City ordinances should fill out the Variance Request Application. Please make sure that you provide enough information, so that the variance committee may have a complete idea of what you are wishing to do. If proper information is not provided, you risk the committee denying your request.
Submit a Request
You can fill out and submit the Variance Request Application in person at the City Secretary’s Office or mail to the City Secretary at 1901 5th St, Bay City, TX 77414. Please note that at this time a $75 filing fee must accompany the application.
Processing Your Request
Once all the proper paperwork is filled and the fee has been paid, the Variance Committee will meet to review your application.
If your application is denied, your application fee of $75 will not be refunded, regardless if you fill out/submit your application online or in person.
