    Identification Division 
  • 2 full time employees
  • Conduct crime scene investigations
  • Fingerprint persons for concealed handgun license
  • Maintain property and evidence

    Matagorda County Crime Stoppers
  • Began in 1980
  • Pays rewards to anonymous callers information leading to arrest and conviction
  • BCPD Coordinator answers phone line and forwards information to appropriate division

    Narcotics Unit
  • BCPD detective works with MCSO narcotics unit

    Special Response Team (S.R.T.)
  • Team began in 1991                
  • Team under direction of Patrol Commander
  • Utilized throughout city and county for execution of search warrants, street operations in high crime areas, building searches, hostage negotiations and rescue.
  • Available for group presentations
