Bay City HOME Program

 The HOME Program includes down payment assistance, home buyer financial education and coaching.  Financial coaches are available to all home buyers in Matagorda County, Texas that need advisory and educational assistance.  If you are a first time home buyer, an individual that has not owned a home within the last three (3) years, you are welcome to join our Home Program.  Our financial fitness coaches are ready to assist you in making wise decisions.

Home Buyer and Home Owner Workshops

To date, hundreds of certificates of completion have been issued to individuals that have completed the workshops while seeking homeownership in Matagorda County.  The curriculum content is continually updated to ensure home buyers are prepared for homeownership in the current tumultuous home market.  The curriculum includes home purchase process, basic budgeting, loan procurement, credit management, foreclosure prevention, and other pertinent subjects.  The workshops are held at the Bay City Civic Center at no cost to Matagorda County participants.
