Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League:

Registration for Spring Season is TBA. The fee is $175 per team, and rosters are limited to 20 players each. Games will be played Thursdays beginning at 6 PM at the Bay City Intermediate School. Kid's Kickball League:Kickball

Bay City Parks and recreation, announces the kick off of the first Youth Kickball League. The new league for children ages 7-12 is a way to get children off of the couch and to get active and outdoors. 

Kickball combines the excitement of soccer with the strategy of softball. Now your young athlete can play their favorite playground game in an organized league format! This league allows youth to participate in friendly competition, while gaining the skills, passion, and confidence necessary to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Leagues are managed by trained and enthusiastic staff to ensure an exciting, positive and safe atmosphere for everyone. This youth CO-ED league emphasizes individual skill development, game strategy, teamwork, character building and most importantly.... fun!

Leagues consist of 8, 1-hour games that run ever Thursday (with 2 bye weeks). You may register as a team or a free agent. The cost of this program is $150 per team (up to 20 players per team). Adult Flag Football League:

Bay City football fans rejoice, now you too can compete for the championship every week. Scared? Well don't be, this is flag football. No need to dust off the old pads, or start training - this is a league for men ages 18 & up of all skill levels. The Bay City league is designed around a simple concept - having fun! This league is for ordinary men who like to get out there and compete and make new friends. It's all about football, friends, and weekend competition.

The league runs Saturdays, from May 12th - June 30th with playoffs on July 7th and 14th. Games begin at 9 a.m. Cost for the league is $300/team for the 10-week league. Registration deadline is April 27th at 5 p.m. If you register by March 29th at 5 p.m. you will receive a $30 discount.

Don't have a team? Become a free agent! Free agents are individuals interested in participating in Leagues, but do not have a team to join. If you register as a free agent, your name and e-mail will be posted online for team managers to access. Teams that need players will contact free agents to join their team. Keep in mind free agents are not guaranteed to be placed on a team. Individuals will be contacted by team managers seeking players, and not by the Department.

Pitch, Hit, and Run:

The Parks and Recreation Department in cooperation with Bay City Little League and Girls Softball Association have announced they will host a free Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition at Girls Softball Fields (1120 Avenue M) and Little League Fields (1220 Avenue M) on Saturday, May 5th at 9 a.m. Pitch, Hit & Run is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball. This grassroots program is designed to provide youth ages 7 – 14 with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills. This competition is open to all youth of Bay City and Matagorda County. Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 and have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2018 MLB All-Star Game. The individual Pitching, Hitting and Running Competitions, along with the all-Around Champion in each age and gender group at the Local Competition will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of Competition.
