Riverside Smoke Off
September 11th and 12th
There are three things we all know that come with the month of September: End of Summer, County Fairs, Back to School and BBQ Cook Offs. And while we can’t bring Summer back, we can help with the BBQ Cook Off and a taste of the great outdoors with camping Riverside Park.
Show your support for the re-opening of Riverside Park by participating in the Riverside Smoke Off, Friday and Saturday, September 11th and 12th.
Cookers can enter into 6 categories: brisket, chicken, ribs, beans, Dutch oven sweet and best decorated site. Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place in all categories except best decorated.
Thanks to a generous donation from Lone Star GC3, cash prizes will be given to 1st place brisket ($1,000); chicken and ribs ($500 each); Beans and Dutch Oven Sweet - Jackpot. All 1st and 2nd place winners will receive trophies.
Entry fees are: Brisket - $150 (price includes camp site, 1 RV/Camper and 2 cars); Chicken, Beans, Ribs, and Sweet Dutch Oven are $25 each category. You can enter the Best Decorated Site at no charge. The theme is Patriotism.
